Things that have happened this week….

• I found out that I am now half of a college graduate. I got an Associates Degree in Business Management
• I got a real job. Like, really real. Like in an office with a computer and a desk.
• I bought a video camera. So now I can do things like this….

I think you should be able to find a theme with this one. Thats not why I put them up… it just happens to be what I am listening to at the moment. A lot of these songs were on the playlist before whatever happened, happened.

Sometimes in the face of circumstances that are less than ideal it is easier to withdraw from everything than try to publicly explain what is wrong. So that explains where I have been for the last three weeks. I am still not really sure where to go from here but I suppose now is as good a time as any to start putting myself back together and for some reason I picked this as the place to start.

In between now and the last time we spoke I have grown another year older. I celebrated by quitting my job. I have been out of work almost two weeks now and while I am enjoying staying up until all hours of the night and waking up at noon the need for money has crept its way back into my life.

I started out the new year on the right foot… literally. After taking a nap on January 1st, I woke up to find my glasses were no longer on my head. After not finding them on the couch I got up to start looking. Well, I found them. Under my foot. Broken. So I spent the second day of January getting new glasses. Kelly at Lens Crafters was most helpful in not making me get another eye exam and just replacing my old prescription but it was still expensive.

The glasses change will be documented in the photography project I am working on. It was decided that I should take a self portrait a day while I grow a beard. Other than that my desire for photography is nil. Sunsets, nature and architecture as an artistic medium no longer interest me. Hopefully something will stimulate me soon.
