Mayfield Heights — A driver’s license examiner was injured today while a woman was taking her driving test.
The 29-year-old test-taker smashed her car into a brick pillar while taking the driving test at Golden Gate shopping plaza, police said.
The accident occurred about 11:40 a.m., police Sgt. Scott Suydam said.
Rong Chen of Warrensville Heights already failed the driving portion of her test and was returning to the license bureau when she smashed her 2002 Toyota Corolla into a concrete barrier, police Sgt. Scott Suydam said. The car was towed from the scene.
Lindsay Phillips, a license examiner for State Highway Patrol, complained of chest and stomach injuries. She was transported to a hospital, and the injuries don’t appear serious, Suydam said.

I received a package in the mail today. It wasn’t really a surprise as to who it was from but I could have never imagined what was inside. Words can not do it justice… so here.
What you are looking at is an original Megan John knit hat. 50% wool, 50% acrylic, 100% awesome. If you would like to check out some of her other work and possibly purchase some of it, you can head over to MeganJohn.net and take a look.
(I recommend the ceramic magnets that should hopefully be up soon. They come in handy when you have an empty refrigerator that is in need of decoration!)

Coming up on August 10th I, along with several other Cleveland photographers, will be participating in Exposure Cleveland’s big one-year anniversary show. It will be held at the Kelly Randall Gallery in Tremont as part of their monthly art walk. The gallery will be open from noon until 10pm but the big group party will start at 7pm. If you can make it out we’d love to see you.
